Cathy Pollini Prescribes Health and Medical Focus for HLD PR
10.12.2010 -  Cathy Pollini has joined the team at Harrison Leifer DiMarco (HLD) and is responsible for strategic public relations and implementation for various accounts including Nycomed US Inc., Fougera Marketing and the Developmental Disabilities Institute.
Cathy has many years of experience in healthcare public relations and communications, as both an employee and consultant. With Eisai Inc. for more than 10 years, Cathy started up the public relations function in the United States in 1996 and helped grow the company to become a top-20 U.S. pharmaceutical operation specializing in neurology, gastrointestinal medicine and oncology/acute care.
Cathy was successful in professional and public outreach throughout her career, for example, in her work with the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and its Foundation (AANF). She rose up through its Corporate Roundtable membership ranks to join its Executive Committee and to serve as Chair for successive terms. Cathy also was a board member of the AANF for 10 years, where her work was recognized for achievements in corporate relations, fundraising and public education.
Prior to Eisai, Cathy managed international public affairs and marketing communications at American Cyanamid Co. In addition to her corporate experience, Cathy has worked in the health, medical and public affairs groups at world-leading PR agencies based in New York City.

Cathy holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing, from LIU’s CW Post Center in Greenvale, NY.
