It’s a Gas: HLD Lands JJT Energy
11.23.2010 - Switching cell phone and television service providers to get the best deal is practically a national pastime, but home and business owners are missing out on another choice they can make to save big: natural gas suppliers. JJT Energy of Rockville Centre, NY, has retained HLD for a public relations and marketing program to educate New Yorkers about the benefits of choosing an energy service company (ESCO) to save on their natural gas bills.
As an ESCO, JJT buys natural gas on the open market and then delivers it to utilities such as Con Ed and National Grid, which in turn distribute it to JJT’s customers. Since JJT Energy does not have the same overhead costs as the utilities, it is able to offer its customers highly competitive rates, with a variety of pricing options. And since the utility remains the point of contact for customers, the switch is seamless. The savings, which can be as high as 12%, roll in with no muss, no fuss.
JJT’s value proposition is self-evident once home and business owners learn about it. HLD’s challenge is getting that message in front of consumers where they live and work. HLD will deploy a full range of strategic communications to accomplish the goal. Public relations will educate the public through news stories and interviews, while new marketing tools ? including a new logo and corporate identity package, a refreshed Web site and a print ad campaign ? will be created to support the sales effort.
“Utility costs are one of the biggest expenses for home and business owners. Educating the public about how JJT can help them achieve significant savings will be the focus of our campaign,” said Roy DiMarco, HLD President.
