Westchester Medical Center Retains Harrison Leifer DiMarco To Enhance CRM Through Web-Based Marketing Initiative
8.17.2005 - Westchester Medical Center has retained Harrison Leifer DiMarco, The NOW Agency, to perform a unique combination of marketing, interactive and public relations services utilizing the hospital’s Web site as a channel for a customer relationship marketing effort. The program is designed to improve public perceptions of the former county hospital, increase patient admissions and ultimately provide enhanced customer and professional services.
Westchester Medical Center, located in Valhalla, New York, treats over 120,000 patients each year and provides the region with the only Level 1 Trauma Center, full-service cardiac center, kidney, liver (and soon heart) transplant facility, around-the-clock Medevac service and Burn Center. In addition, it is the largest provider of pediatric health care in the region, and has the region’s only pediatric ICU and Level IV Neonatal ICU. Westchester Medical Center directly employs 3,300 people and has more than 800 physicians on staff. Its annual budget totals more than $550 million and the hospital has a regional economic impact of more than $1.1 billion each year.
HLD has been chosen as the lead agency for a marketing initiative which includes a major re-vamping of the medical center’s Web site as a relationship marketing tool for the hospital and its related foundations. Once completed, HLD/Blankman Public Relations, the public relations arm of Harrison Leifer DiMarco, will conduct an ongoing marketing and public relations campaign designed to find and develop current content from within the organization and leverage it into additional relationships with existing and potential patients.
